GPS-Trace provides GPS tracking solutions for service providers, dealers, and fleet owners/operators. For verified GPS-Trace Console users, branding settings make it possible to adapt the client-facing Forguard application to the provider’s company identity.
These settings are configured in the App design section of GPS-Trace Console. They help clients recognize the company that provides their tracking service and know where to request support.
Available branding settings
Verified GPS-Trace Console users can configure the following branding settings for Forguard:
- custom domain and application name for the Forguard web application;
- color palette for the Forguard application;
- company logo displayed in Forguard;
- provider company information shown in a separate section of the application.
Custom domain and application name
Verified Console users can connect their own domain to the Forguard web application. This allows clients to open the application through the provider’s domain instead of the default GPS-Trace address.
To use a custom domain, the provider needs to add a CNAME record in the domain settings. A CNAME record is a domain setting that points one web address to another. Setup instructions are available in GPS-Trace Console in the App design section.
This setting is available for the web version of Forguard.
Pricing and billing terms for custom domain branding are available in GPS-Trace Console or can be requested at business@gps-trace.com.
Color palette for the Forguard application
GPS-Trace Console users can choose the color palette for the Forguard application. After the provider saves the selected color scheme, it is applied for the provider’s clients in Forguard.
Company logo in Forguard
The provider can upload a company logo in GPS-Trace Console. After the logo is saved, it is displayed in Forguard for clients linked to the provider.
After the logo and color palette are saved, the settings are updated automatically. The provider can change these settings in GPS-Trace Console when needed.
Provider company information in Forguard
Providers can add company contact and support details to a separate section of the Forguard application. This gives clients a clear place to find the service provider’s information if they need assistance.
To use this option, the company card must be filled out in GPS-Trace Console. If the information requires review, the status will be shown in the Console.
How to access branding settings
Branding settings are available to registered and verified GPS-Trace Console users. To get started:
- Go to GPS-Trace Console.
- Sign in or create an account.
- Confirm your email address.
- Start the 30-day Trial if it is available for your account.
- Open the App design section and configure the required branding settings.
After email confirmation, you will receive basic instructions for working with GPS-Trace Console. You can also watch a 5-minute video about getting started with the Console and its tools.
